He was an Andalusian Muslim, you know, Al Andalus used to be the core of intellectuals in medieval Europe. Ibn Hazm was called Al Kitab al-Muhallā bi’l Athār, which meant that he knew much about Islam, Christianity, Jew, etc.
Personally, I think he can be a mirror from which we can see how Muslims, Jews, and Christians created a culture of tolerance in our world, and it is needy for everyone.
